I received my Celiac diagnosis well into adulthood. As a result of this, I had the opportunity to experience the famous Fig Newtons. To be honest I loved the taste of those gluten filled fig bars. Unfortunately as a Celiac they did not love me. I have tried for several years to find a gluten free replacement and was unsuccessful until I found this product!
Nature’s Bakery makes gluten free fig bars in several flavors: a plain Fig, Raspberry, Pomegranate and Blueberry. My favorite is Blueberry. Both the fig and blueberry taste natural. The outside of the bar is soft, moist and tasty. It does not crumble or break. There are five individually wrapped bars per box. In addition to being gluten free these gluten free fig bars are Kosher, Non-GMO verified, dairy-free, soy-free and made without high fructose corn syrup.
One word of caution Nature’s Bakery makes two versions of these bars (one with gluten and the other a gluten free bar). Please be sure that you select the boxes with gluten free written across the front.
